I... I'm alive.

I'm not sure what else to say. Besides maybe "sorry". I've been asleep for awhile. Does anyone still read this?

There's Something Else starting soon. Something New. I'm not sure quite what it is yet. But... I think LMN will continue inside it in some form. You see, I can't seem to kill these kids' story inside my heart. Lovesick Alex, he's letting the leaves fall on him. A butterfly's in his dreams. Tragic Cassandra is in the snow, but it's alright because she has her scarf on, and snow can melt. Dorian's in the rain, but no one else knows it because to them he'll always only be blue sky. And then there's Danielle and Tobias, two opposites who together are at once love and hate, fire and water, passion and apathy, sex and art. Two spirits tied together by the red threads woven by a Unicorn.

I'm not sure when things will start again. I've got a deviantart page now. Once in while I'll be uploading art there. Some of it will be Love Me Not related and some of it won't be. When the new comic goes live, I'll let you all know here in the journal, and also up there where the last comic is still sleeping.

Thanks.

The first page of this week's two page extravaganza is ready for your viewing pleasure. Expect the next page in a matter of days.

Last night I viewed the film The Triplets of Belleville with my brother. Very strange, stylish, distinctive movie, especially if you're a total animation whore like I am. I also somehow enjoyed the almost complete lack of dialogue (understandable to me dialogue anyway, as I don't speak French). Sweet.

While waiting for the next comic, here, have another drabble! Well, it was supposed to be a drabble, anyway. It's not my fault it got away from me.

Want plays no part in this. You are here now, and stories work in threes. You will receive a reading. )

Alright, so here's the thing. The next comic was almost done (containing Alex's cat, cute Dorian, and a 'WTF is going on NOW?' moment), but then NO. It turns out there is one LAST memory of Cassandra's that I need to include before I move on, and it's, er, it's kind of important. So it needs to be put in now or never, before the comic I was about to finish. See, we're almost out of backstory land and then hopping back onto the modern-day angst train. Basically, I need to stuff another comic in there before we move on.

SO. That means... two comics next week! This will get done! I... I actually have days off and everything this week to work on it! Yeah!

Oh, and today is Thanksgiving. Happy holiday to peoples who celebrate it! What am I thankful for, you ask? The answer would be many things, of course, but right now mostly that organizations like this one exist.

It's been exactly one month and a day since the last one, but a new update is finally available.

I should be making excuses here for why this update took so long. But, see, I just bought Final Fantasy XII. And Fragile Things. And I have Lost Girls on loan. So, if you'll excuse me. :p

Next update in a week.

... I could've sworn I posted this last week.

Tobias shrugged. It seemed an unnatural movement coming from him. )

Anyway, new comic will be probably either Sunday or Monday this week. (It'll also be Tobias-centric. Because, um, everyone loves him or something.)

New update. Finally. Woo!

It's my favorite time of year right now. Autumn is going into full force. The leaves are changing, and the air is getting cool. It's the last big hurrah before life goes dormant for a while. Colors and wind and decay all mingle together in this weather, and I love it. I actually enjoy walking around outside. Me! Crazy, I know. So, if anybody's been wondering why Autumn leaves keep popping up in the comic, well, that's why. The idea of this time of year simply grips me. Beauty and death both occupying the same space. They say that Winter is the season of death, but no. Winter is the season of sleep. It's -now- that's when the dying happens.

Anyway, that was cheerful. Keep your eyes on this page! I'll be posting a short drabble about Tobias here in the next few days. Mmmmm.

The next page is coming along. Things have been going very slowly this week. -_-

I am resisting mightily the urge to make one of those emo livejournal posts. Go me.

This week's update took... a very long time. I'm still not happy with the art, but I think it looks better than it usually does. And tchyeah is a wonderful word/sound. Try saying it. Tchyeah. Brings back memories of being a surly teen? Or maybe just... californian surfers...? Tchyeah.

Astute readers may realize that we have seen the head-shaved young man featured in this week's page before. Even more astute readers may deduce that the young couple snogging against the lockers are from a completely different comic.

I hope American readers had an excellent Labor Day! I'll be back next week.

Yes, Cassandra has opinions about politics. And... many other things as well, I suppose.

About the comic: I like Dorian's hair much better when it's shorter for some reason. I DUNNO WHY. In the uncropped version of the first panel, it looks like Alex is posing like a clothes model. Also, please pretend that I remembered to draw the Hindu Aum symbol on Cassandra's shirt in her last panel. Much obliged.

So, apparently Mono's Formica Blues album is completely awesome and no one told me. Thanks a lot guys! See if I recommend YOU music ever again. Punks.

Hey, new comic! You do remember that comic that I make, right? It-it hasn't been that long... has it?

Ever meet someone for the first time and just -immediately- become completely comfortable around them, and feel like you've known them for your entire life? Yeah, that's pretty much Alex and Cassandra right there.

I think that this is the first time I've had any sort of nudity in the comic. Sure, it's quasi siamese-twin(? >_>) nudity, and you can't actually see anything, but I can assure you that these two random primitive people are both completely naked. I'm... not sure why I felt everyone should know that. But now you do.

Concerning the classroom segment, I think we've all had a moment like Cass is having in panel five, eh? EH? Also, I interestingly have almost the exact opposite opinion about history in real life that Alex and Cass are expressing in this comic. Enough dates and figures! I'd rather learn about actual ways of life in the past. I guess that's weird or something?

Anyway, if I'm feeling "up to it", I'll try to do the next comic earlier than usual. Y'know, inbetween marathon watchings of Princess Tutu (DON'T YOU JUDGE ME).

Oi, sorry, no comic today. I couldn't get it finished like I wanted it. Hopefully I'll have time on Wednesday to fix it up. Instead, have this short prose story that I should really be editing and trimming before I post here. OH WELL.

Beyond the butterflies, an entire field of flowers stretched out. )

Just for the record, none of these drabble-y thingies should be taken as canon. Rather... they're more like potential canon. Bits and bobs of them may show up in the comic eventually, or... y'know, won't. Find out never soon!

'nother new page. It should be noted this is the first one uploaded on my BRAND NEW COMPUTER. Ooooooh yeah.

Also, it seems I was tangented over the week. So you should all go like, read it. Y'know, if you're in the mood.

... I swear I had more things to say on this thing. Oh well. I'll try to do the next comic early next week since this one was late. Look for it around Monday maybe?

Random piece of a prose story which will never be written. I dunno, I've been sort of down lately. I just opened up notepad and started typing. *shrug*

His words somehow sounded rehearsed, even to his own ears. )

Anyway. The next comic may be a few days late this week. I changed my mind about the direction it's heading in, so I basically have to do most of the panels over again :o. It's all good though. I haven't really been happy with the last bunch of pages, so I'm gonna try something new. *peals of thunder ring out*

Unfortunately, this is probably the closest thing to hot girl-on-girl action this comic will ever get to. Sorry, straight men and lesbians!

I uploaded new navigation buttons that should be showing up underneath the comic now. You might have to like, refresh or crap to see them properly. Which you should, because they look much better than the old ones. Man, I've seriously wanted to replace those for months.

The buttons contain references to the popular Japanese Red Thread of Fate legend, with some of my own stuff thrown in for good measure. The picture is notable since it combines my hand fetish with obtuse symbolism that I don't bother explaining.

Out There is an excellent comic that's just starting out. It's witty and funny and has characters with sass. Plus, it updates almost every day! You should all go like... read it? No, really. The link is right there. GO.

New comic in a few days. Prob'ly.

It's the 69th page, and I'm not making one dirty joke about it (not here anyway >_>).

... I'm actually not too pleased with the way this one came out. Tobias is really hard to write for -_-. Oh well. Next one will be better.

Three new characters introduced in this page. Because, y'know, it's nice to see people besides the main characters once in a while, and I guess I thought the comic needed more romantic entanglements.
